People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett joined other public representatives in showing support for locked out Greyhound workers at a press conference in Dublin today.
Following a rejection of the latest offer presented by the owners, Buckleys, and ahead of Tuesday’s committal hearing, the locked out Greyhound Workers stated that they are prepared to go to jail rather than give up the fight for their jobs.
Tuesday’s hearing will rule on the latest motion by the Buckleys seeking to have workers jailed and to go after their family homes to compensate them for loss of earnings.
The striking workers will be joined by members of their families, members of the Greyhound Workers Support Group and other elected representatives.
People are asked to support them tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10.30am at the High court.
This will be followed by a Protest at 6pm at Spire, in the event of any of the workers being imprisioned.
