In a statement this afternoon, Richard Boyd Barrett said the Government plans to outsource vital public services is proof of what the left have been saying all along.
The Troika programme and austerity agenda is simply a mechanism to asset strip this country of its vital public services to benefit multi-nationals and big corporations. This will lead to a downward spiral in terms of quality of public services and pay and conditions of ordinary workers providing these services.

“It is particularly scandalous that a Labour minister should be advocating the privatisation of Health and Education services and the idea that these vital services would become for-profit services is utterly obnoxious. The Labour Party should be ashamed of themselves”.
